9th Annual BYOP 10/29

We had our 9th Annual BYOP the last weekend in October and I cannot believe it was our 9th year!

Something that started as a fun little evening has turned into this valued tradition that is changing as we all change and grow up.

I know I said it last year but, I mean it even more this year--this was the most action packed BYOP we've had yet!

Our pumpkin designs have become much less intricate and the little baby pumpkins are the sweetest of them all. Everyone was old enough this year to take part in some form or another. The bigger kids were very into carving and the younger kiddos were into digging out the "pumpkin guts"--it was so cute!
I can't with IL's face in this one--she was so interested in the pumpkins with the candles in them.
The big kiddos were incredibly proud of their pumpkins!

I absolutely love her face when she pulled out the pumpkin guts.
The most delicious pumpkin chili. Our contribution each year--it sounds crazy but in reality, it's only crazy delicious.

This year we had the event at Melissa & Ian's new place--a fun notable change. The little ones were old enough to participate. The big kiddos had their first year not painting and actually carving. This sweet tradition has changed so much over the 9 years we've done it and it keeps getting sweeter and sweeter.
