Barbie Bash Bachelorette Weekend

Last weekend, me and the girls headed to Nashville to celebrate my bachelorette weekend!
We had a blast, had a lot of good food, great shopping, and just having a big ole girls weekend.
I am so thankful and so blessed by each and everyone of these girls.
The Lord is so good and I see so much of His provision in my life
through the people He's placed in my life.

As always, here's a few pictures:
All of us at Jackson's eating a delicious meal

Cookie Dough Egg Rolls--heaven in a crust!
Some downtown scenery
Love these people so much and so happy to share this time with you all!
In one of our favorite cities, enjoying beautiful weather!

Las Paletas--Gourmet Popsicles
Hot chocolate with chili, Pineapple Raspberry, Strawberry Cream, Chai, Banana Nut and Avocado!
Since we were in Nashville the weekend following Halloween, we decided to dress up---what better way to celebrate than to dress up as different Barbie! I present to you Bridal Barbie's Crew:
Vet Barbie, Greek Barbie, Winter Barbie,
Rock Star Barbie, Monster Barbie, Biker Barbie,
Hippie Barbie, Vintage Barbie and Indian Barbie.
The whole crew
We ate at a delicious place called Cabana's--it was so awesome! We had our own "cabana" with our own tv, music hook up, and it was closed off, it was so cool!

So thankful for you and putting together such a perfect Bachelorette weekend!
Friends since 99' and still going strong!

We ended the weekend eating breakfast at the best place--Pancake Pantry!

Thank you Jesus for the beautiful scenery on our ride home!

13 days and counting until I am Mrs. Jason Ellis :)

BYOP

The week of Halloween, Jason and I decided to have a few people over for our first annual BYOB&P. Not good with acronyms? Bring Your Own Beer & Pumpkin!
If you know me at all, you know my obsession with everything pumpkin.
Any pumpkin flavored food, all pumpkin scents, you name it, I love it. It's bad news when the fall season rolls around and all I see are pumpkin cookies, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin spice coffee, and pumpkin shaped Reese's' Cups!

The theme behind our party was obviously, pumpkins.
We told people to bring a pumpkin (or 2) to carve and then also bring a pumpkin flavored food item.
Jason and I made pumpkin nut muffins and wait for it....PUMPKIN CHILI!
Which turned out to be absolutely amazing!
My pumpkin muffin ingredients
annnnnd, the end result!
Jason's amazing pumpkin chili---that we WILL be making this again this season!
Melissa's pumpkin cake
and you can't have BYOB&P without the B--Pumpkin Beer
and then for the challenge, the competition, the mess, the fun---carving the pumpkins.

 the final master pieces...

It's always fun doing things like this to make the holidays feel special.
Hopefully we've started a tradition that we will carry on through the years ;)
