Melissa's Surprise 30th 9/17

What a fun year as all of my friends turn 30!
A few weeks ago, my best friend of 19 years turned 30 and we threw her a surprise party...and if you know Melissa, you know what an accomplishment this is! This girl asks more questions and pays more attention than anyone I know so her Mom wasn't sure we'd be able to pull it off but lo and behold, we did it.
Isn't this cake magical?
It was so pretty and so, so tasty.

I love the big yard signs!

Russell was loving the surprise just as much as Mama was. Look at that sweet, smiling face.
These two had the best time playing with one another and enjoying the celebration.

How in the world are you 30?!
It feels like just yesterday we were 11 & 12 years old meeting for the first time.
So much life has been lived throughout these 19 years of friendship and it's safe to say that time flies.
But, I am incredibly thankful for it all and it's been so sweet walking through so much of life with you by my side as my best friend. So, here's to 30 and all of the sweetness that's to come!
It was such a fun celebration and I think it's safe to say, we love you and cherish you, Melissa!

That same weekend, we took the birthday girl out and went to Dumbo's on Duling and it was soooo good! Fun drinks, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere.

Isn't he the cutest? I felt like we hadn't taken a picture together since March.
Needless to say, we loved celebrating our friend and hope she knows how special she is to us!

James Baptism 8/30

What a sweet & special Sunday this was!
Little James was baptized and it was such a sweet moment and such a picture of Aaron & Blair's commitment to raising James & trusting The Lord with him.

My Grando (Dad's Dad) was able to baptize all of us and now, James' Grando was able to baptized him. Another thing that made it so special is that Mimi made the gown that he wore. The tatting on the dress is from his great, great, great (maybe even one more great) Grandmother. It is a stunning dress and Mom did such a fantastic job with it--something to be treasured for many years to come. Ann Hatten wore it for her Baptism and next up will be Bennett. Mom is hand stitching the date each grandchild is baptized into the dress (on the inside, of course).

It was also Bennett's first time to church!
James with both sets of Grandparents.
Three generations of Jussely men.

James, your Uncle Jason & Aunt Ellen love you so, so much and we are incredibly thankful that we were able to witness such a sweet & special day. Our prayer for you is that there will never be a day that you don't know Jesus and His deep, unending love for you!

And just because this picture made me laugh, we will end on it!

Bennett Michael Lyons 8/5/20

I have been so behind on updating this space but, here we are! And...with another nephew to love on!
World, Meet Bennett! The newest Lyons family member.
This little squishy bundle of love joined the crew last month and we couldn't be any more excited.
What strange times we are in where none of us could visit the hospital & we had to mask up to be around our sweet, new family addition. Nonetheless, we are incredibly thankful to have him here and will have some crazy pandemic stories to tell him when he gets older.
Proud Mimi and Grando holding their newest grandson.

And Aunt Ellen in her happy place with a little one in her arms.
Gosh, I love being an Aunt to these babies (and toddler).

Ann Hatten has taken on her role as big sister and I think she is rocking it.
I know she will love having a live-in play buddy for the rest of her life.

Thank you Jesus for another sweet little love bug to add to our family to love on, invest in, and cherish! Bennett is a sweet little treasure and we are so thankful he's here!
