The first weekend after school started, Mom and I made our way to Atlanta to see Cats.
It was such a good show but before I get in to that, let me tell you about the food because...you know, that's the most important part of a vacation!
When we arrived at the hotel that night, we asked our bar tender for restaurant suggestions and she immediately said, "Thumbs Up...hands down the best breakfast place in town" she even told us the specific one to go to as there are two. It's the one on Edgewood in case you're wondering.
Y'all...it really was THE BEST.
The atmosphere, the food, the service...it was awesome.
I mean, look at it!
Also, not to mention, they had the best coffee I've ever had.
We spent the afternoon shopping and exploring Atlanta a bit.
We had tickets to the 2:00 showing of Cats and here's where it gets...interesting.
Our seats SUCKED.
We literally could only see about 1/4 of the stage and I learned a useful tip--if you purchase your tickets from anywhere but the theater's site (so places like Ticketmaster, Stubhub, etc.) they don't have to disclose to you if your seats are "obstructed view"...which ours most certainly were.
Thankfully, the ladies we were sitting beside had a good sense of humor and we were all able to laugh about the ridiculousness of it all.
After intermission when it was clear some seats in front of us, more towards the center, were going to be available--we were able to move and see 3/4 of the stage rather than only 1/4.
But, even though we couldn't see the whole show, it was awesome.
I loved the costumes, the musical numbers, it was so much fun & so entertaining.
Which side note, we were about 5 rows from the front and even though we couldn't see the whole stage we were close enough to see the costumes and all the details of the stage--which was really neat.
After the show, we made our way to Auburn and spend the rest of the day and night with all Mom's family in Auburn. We made the most of our short weekend and we had the best time!
It was jam-packed but it sure was a lot of fun.
